Research Report 2024
Report on lesbian-bi-queer and Sapphic communities in Canada in 2024, Québec Lesbian Network.
This design project involved the creation of a bilingual (French and English) infographic-style research report for the Québec Lesbian Network (RLQ/QLN). The report presents vital findings from the largest national survey to date on lesbian, bisexual, queer, and Sapphic communities in Canada.
The design had to balance clarity with sensitivity, making complex data accessible while respecting the lived realities of marginalized identities. The layout was carefully structured to support both dense quantitative results and nuanced qualitative testimonials, using clean typography, accessible contrast, and bilingual formatting that gave equal visual weight to both languages.
Each section was anchored by visual cues and color-coded subheadings, helping guide the reader through themes ranging from healthcare discrimination to community attachment. Illustrative charts and infographics were developed to make key statistics digestible without oversimplifying the findings.
The final report was published digitally and distributed nationally, serving as both a tool for advocacy and a landmark of visibility for underrepresented voices within 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
